Where ‘Chasin‘ saw him welcome 2012 with infectious synth play, Sander van Doorn’s inaugural release of 2013 sees him take an unexpected turn for the bleep-happy terrains of dance music.

A staple in his sets throughout the year and given a world radio premier on Hardwell’s radio show last night, ‘Joyenergizer’ continues his recent onslaught of heavyset releases with festival-friendly stamina. Mixing minimalistic drops and melodic breakdown segments, ‘Joyenergizer’ is a strong indication that the musical movements of Sander van Doorn have not been limited to one solitary genre.

Out on January 7th via Doorn Records.

  • not feeling this one…

  • i like it!

  • Hum… it doesn’t fit with the Sander background.

  • @ Stéphane – There is no ‘Sander background’, the man jumps around genres all the time.

  • Not the best use of those Joy Kitikonti – Joyenergizer samples unfortunately.

  • On further listen, this is just a horrible rework. Too much going on in this track. The beauty of the original was its simplicity.

  • Come on, Sander, you’re better than this! So much better!

  • The build up is good, but the drop sound like Sh#t same as Afrojack horrible music.

  • Underwhelming.

  • trance is dying a slow death smh

  • another dude who wants to be the hero of retarded teenagers no matter the sacrifice to the music he has to do

  • The break and the drop feels like 2 different tracks imo. They simply does not match well.

  • @enorjy

This is not trance and is no way associated with trance. Sander hasn’t produced anything close to trance in a long time and therefore he is no longer a ”trance” artist. If you want your 138-140 banging uplifting trance there is plenty still out there. James Dymond, Bryan Kearney, Sneijder and Chris Metcalfe are amongst the many new rising stars of uplifting trance if you still crave the natural trance style. Give them a listen and tell me it’s dying.

  • this doesn’t sound like sander van doorn!

  • I like it.

  • I consider myself a Sander fan, but this is too ”commmerical EDM” and and nothing compared to the original Joy Energizer.

  • Badass track, completely different from anything ive heard in a long time

  • What i don’t understood is in reality how you’re now not actually a lot more smartly-preferred than you may be now. You’re so intelligent. You understand thus significantly when it comes to this matter, produced me in my view imagine it from numerous numerous angles. Its like women and men don’t seem to be fascinated except it¡¦s something to do with Girl gaga! Your individual stuffs outstanding. Always take care of it up!
