More than one year in the waiting, Avicii and Nicky Romero have finally released the finished version of their long-awaited single ‘I Could Be The One,’ formerly ‘Nicktim,’ complete with vocals from Swedish singer Noonie Bao.

Pledging the Dutch producers robust sound alongside Tim Bergling’s melodic play and incorporating a radio-friendly vocal, ‘I Could Be The One’ is a simple yet infectious track of modern, full-throttle Progressive House throughout. In spite of the vocals not quite hitting in on the epic properties one would expect from a vocal mix of this calibre, ‘I Could Be The One’ is certain to make for a wildly successful release for Avicii and Nicky Romero alike.

Update (7/1): ‘I Could Be The One’ just hit the #1 spot on Beatport.

Vocal and Instrumental versions are out now on Beatport along with remixes from Audrio and Didrick.

  • I’m not always against vocals, sometimes it can turn out great (even cheesy vocals), but these vocals are the worst piece of shit I’ve ever heard. The vocals should have been similar to D.A.N.C.E., that mashup was perfect

  • this is the best vocals ever. i love avicii by levels

  • I thought it would be release on Mixmash, what happened finally ?

  • Ash didn’t allow it

  • Nicktim for ever. I could be the one is purely fake…Thanks God he releases the original instru.
