On the front of Italian Dance music, the stronghold known formally as Daddy’s Groove have reigned in as a formative blip on the industry radar. Off the back of their stand-out collaborations with David Guetta and Nervo, their latest solo offering ‘Stellar’ looks to build upon the middle ground that has given rise to their now global presence.
At a time when radio-friendly vocals have become daily bread to the Beatport charts and global club circuit alike, ‘Stellar’s male topline may carry a somewhat sugary undertone but fails to bend to the ranks of downright cheesiness. Proving a rich expose of melodic club music with tough compositional values, the victorious House outfit use their sharp synth work and ear for contagious crossovers to pen by far their most upfront solo effort to date.
Out January 14th via Spinnin Records.
