If 2012 taught us anything it was that no-one is safe from a club-savvy remix or two. But where her peers have overhauled the likes of The Rolling Stones and Michael Jackson alike, melodic Swiss Progressive diva Dinka takes on the legendary yarn of Anglo-American Rock outfit Foreigner’s ‘I Want To Know What Love Is’.

But with 35-years behind them and more than 70 million album sales to their well-travelled name, the seemingly audacious venture on behalf of Dinka to bring Foreigner into the guise of Electronic music proves a pleasant surprise. With her usual get-up of full-bodied synths and uplifting melodic progressions, the Deep-esque beats lead Mick Jones infamous topline into the ranks of Dinka’s club-savvy generation with considerable quality.

  • Slaughter. Real music shouldn’t be messed with.

  • haha thats awsome, love Dinka!!

  • Why do you write “her” when Christian is the one who produces?

  • I actually like this one. I dont believe the track is “slaughtered” at all. Bassline and soundscape fits perfectly to those vocals. Really cool sounds

  • Leri: To be fair, many of the big name DJ’s don’t produce their own stuff either, yet you don’t write the names of those who do? Just like a band that doesn’t produce their music, you still refer to it as their music.

  • Epic
