Where ‘Chasin‘ saw him welcome 2012 with infectious synth play, Sander van Doorn’s inaugural release of 2013 sees him take an unexpected turn for the bleep-happy terrains of dance music.

A staple in his sets throughout last year, ‘Joyenergizer’ continues his recent onslaught of heavyset releases with festival-friendly stamina. Mixing minimalistic drops, melodic breakdown segments and a sample from Joy Kitikonti’s 2001 single with the same name, ‘Joyenergizer’ is a strong indication that the musical movements of Sander van Doorn have not been limited to one solitary genre.

Out now on Beatport.

  • Now continue with melodies. Thank you!

  • I like this one! Still think this one rocked whole club cirkus in Helsinki, Finland! Sander made the crowd go mental when he he yelled ”You guys ready for my brand new track!!!” AND BOOM! This one came on! Love you Sander, you keep going with what you like! You haven’t dissapointed me yet!

  • never been so disappointed in my entire life…

  • the drop is fkn bad… unbelievable

  • @tom couldn’t agree more

  • SANDER: PLEASE get back to your roots, and stop trying to please the American market with simplistic tracks, lot’s of bleep bleep (leave that to Afrojack (heavily overrated DJ anyway)), and show your TRUE colours (which to my opinion you can hear when listening to the earlier IDENTITY shows; let’s say 2005-2008)…

    If you’re wondering why you’re not getting into the TOP10 (DJMAG)….. that’s 1 reason!
The other reason (for me) would be that if I visit you 5 times in June, I will hear a 90% identitical playlist. Put more effort in it and get back your true IDENTITY bro ;)

    a fan…

  • this is dope !!! i like the drop, nice to see you thinking outside the box

  • Not a fan…disappointed as well. This and ”Chris Lake & Michael Woods – Black Thong” are essentially the same track :/ Great melodic build up and the bad old sidney samson drop that sounds like a bad mashup of two opposites. Hope it’s not a new trend

  • Great track!
