Tijs Verwest, professionally known as Tiësto, comes out with his first release of the New Year in the form of an official take on American indie rock group Passion Pit’s latest single, ‘Carried Away’.

Much like his remix duties for U2’s ‘Pride (In The Name Of Love)‘, Tiësto swaps the crisp synths and drum progression of ‘Carried Away’ for a continuous wave of melodic bliss. Utilizing Passion Pit’s distinct vocal line, the Dutch heavyweight adds yet another melodic remix to his artillery en route to Miami Music Week 2013.

Out today on Beatport.

  • jesus christ. Isn’t he a bit too experienced for this nonsense?

  • meehhhhh so generic

  • @Vincent

It’s much easier and safer to do a super cheesy remix and get some radio time. Money talks.

  • i agree..

  • The drop lead sounds like In My Mind or heart atack (dzeko and torres remix)

  • 1. Very obvious that this was made by Tiesto’s personal engineers while he was on tour. It is safe to say he had almost nothing to do with this song.

    2. He makes dozens of remixes every year of pop songs and all of them are very generic and simple like this because he gets paid a ton to do them.

  • I wouldnt be surprised if Allure produced this for a reasonable sum of cash.

  • and with this i lost some respect for tiesto for sure!

  • ummmmm is this pop?!

  • I LOVE Tiesto- but for a new release for the new year…a little disapointed…
