Turning their heads for the heavier side of dance music yet again, ‘Just Some Loops’ sees the trio showcase a mixture of wobbly electro house and melodic interludes.

Back on full throttle, Mark Knight drops the official music video to his highly anticipated next original release, ‘Your Love’, formerly known as ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’. Where his last single release ‘Nothing Matters‘ hit the perfect middle-ground between unremitting Techno and Progressive, the Kylie Minogue-sampled ‘Your Love’ sees him plunge deep into the energetic House vibes that have established him as a firm favorite to House heads across the globe. With mechanical rhythm and a worthy extension of his talents for crafting enchanting bass lines, the mix of chunky Tech House and bass-filled Deep House makes for a track that has the potential of becoming a landmark for artist and label alike.

Documenting the heyday of disco music, Unsung’s ”The Disco Era” tells the story of a timeless sound that has played a major role in making dance music the global phenomena it now is. With footage from the 70’s and interviews with renowned acts and key behind-the-scenes people alike, the two-hour TV One documentary highlights not only the ups, but also the downs of the infamous disco movement, featuring commentary from Nile Rodgers, Candi Staton, Gloria Gaynor, Frankie Knuckles, K.C. & The Sunshine Band and many more.

Documenting the globetrotting lifestyle of the Size family, Size Records is back with a new episode of their Size TV concept, featuring an exclusive spin of Sebjak and Marcus Schossow’s forthcoming Size release, ‘Liceu’. In episode five, we get to tag along Steve Angello as he jets across Europe during the summer of 2012.

We hear from Steve Angello, his tour manager Ben Kreitner, and Angello’s right-hand man Iyoas Assefa as they reflect on the ups and downs of touring and explain their individual roles within the Size family. Furthermore, Angello discusses his mentoring the rest of the Size Records artist roster through the jungle that is the Dance music industry.

With the world’s largest interactive collaboration on the cards for 2013, Avicii unites with Nicky Romero to drop the official music video to their upcoming single ‘I Could Be The One,’ formerly ‘Nicktim,’ ahead of it’s December 29 release.

Stuck in a life of unexciting office chores and dullness, the video for ‘I Could Be The One’ shows a middle-age woman take the decision to fulfill her dreams and try her luck ‘not giving a f*ck.’ But unlucky as she is, the ‘new’ life ends rather promptly for our ex-office employee when she becomes the victim of a violent fate at the office parking lot.

In the official music video to Albin Myers’ ‘The Beast,’ three vandalizing youngsters in disguise get a reality check courtesy of an encounter with a large-mouthed creature known as ‘the beast.’ Written and produced by Myers himself, the video, which is shot exclusively in black and white, mixes raw video footage and a somewhat bizarre storyline, making for an artistic and well-fitting visual accompaniment to the aggressive character of the track. Capping off a highly-successful year, Mark Knight’s Toolroom Records comes out with episode five of its Toolroom TV concept. Picking up right where the last episode left off, Mark Knight continues the sixth anniversary celebrations of Toolroom Knights with shows across the UK and in Amsterdam. Long-serving British outfit Crazy P sit down with Toolroom label manager Pete Griffiths to talk shop before winging off to Amsterdam and ADE for interviews with Nicky Romero and Dannic. While Romero talks us through the concept of his Protocol label and gives tips to budding producers, Dannic discusses his Toolroom debut ‘Clobber‘ and his opinion on the reason behind Holland’s strong DJ export.

At the tail end of a year that has spelt politics, perseverance and the impending split of the Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello drops the official visual accompaniment to his latest solo release.

Based around a couple of female superheros of two generations, the video for ‘Yeah‘ shows candy-stealing villains getting taught a valuable lesson in life: a crime-fighting senior and her like-minded companion are not to be trifled with. Taking us on an adventure unlike any other, the odd pair fights crime in the name of a soon to be ex-mafia man who is already well-acquainted with all things saving the world.

Having traced the story of the label with episode three, Steve Angello’s Size Records returns to unleash episode four of the recently launched Size TV concept, featuring a sneak peek into what’s to come music wise for the label.

Steve Angello shares his thoughts on the balancing of a successful music career and the duty of a father as well as the bond between the members of the Size crew, the Size family gathers in London for some collaborative studio action and Wayne & Woods travel north to perform at Sundsvall’s Air Festival. Also, a mysterious ‘friend’ tells us a bit about what he has learned about ‘Steven Yellow’ from their 25-30 years of knowing each other.

Football and Dance music have seldom shared the makings of unforgettable achievements. But in the same vein as Zlatan Ibrahimovic saw away four goals to seal Sweden its first sporting victory at the new Friends Arena in Stockholm, the following week would see Swedish House Mafia make their first and final run of homeland shows to celebrate one of the most essential marks in their nations club culture to date.

Having laid so much of their legacy among huge festival line-ups, the three-nights remained boiled down to a very simple exploit: seeing out the machine that is Swedish House Mafia and making up for their considerable absence on home turf. This focus was clearly reflected in their modest yet aptly strong selection of opening acts, which saw the likes of AN21, Style of Eye, and Otto Knows set the tone to the sound of considerable enthusiasm from the thickening crowds each night.

One of the most striking elements of their first and final Sweden performances was the sheer versatility of their shows. Diving between brand-new tracks and mash-ups in between the three intros that broke up each show, there was a strong sense that the Swedes had upped their game for this overdue hometown return. Accompanied by the cutting edge visual and sound displays that have ornamented their reign upon Dance music of late, theirs was a show that benefitted from both strong stage productions and musical foresight throughout.

For an outfit often cited to be too commercial for clubland, the precision of their arena experience was reflected in the sheer excitement that greeted them every night from the 40,000 strong gathering of national and international fans. With John Martin on hand with live vocal performances and a strong sense of repertoire between the trio and the packed-out crowds, the impersonal nature of arena shows was obliterated every night to create a live experience that strengthened every day. But for all their unpredictability, familiar sing-along moments and an overwhelming sit-down to recent single ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ showcased the sense of community this larger-than-life European Dance outfit has cast across the industry.

At the end of each show, gratitude seemed to be at the heart of their final Swedish conquest. Taking the opportunity to thank their stage hands and live crew along the way, a blazing final finale saw the trio deliver a heartfelt visual message to their fans, turning from the familiar slogan that has accompanied their final live escapades to state ‘You came, you raved, we loved it’. Judging by the energy collected among their 125,000 strong three-day take-over of the Friends Arena, this love is mutual where their Swedish following is concerned.
