Still tending to the flames of volume one, Mark Knight’s Toolroom Records imprint return to dig deeper into the Balearic vibes for round two of this year’s Ibiza compilation series.
Led by the imprint’s trusty Italian resident Alex Kenji, his remix of Full Intention’s ”Don’t You Feel It” musters considerable Ibizan energy courtesy of its simple yet stirring key work and groovy percussive swings, while Sweden’s Adrian Bood and Robin South dig deep with a solid collection of stern melodic manoeuvres for their take on John Dahlback’s ‘Phoenix’. With Zoo Brazil and RNS bringing the more refreshing sounds, Mark Knight & Martijn ten Velden and Rene Amesz & Ruell round off yet another momentous collection of Ibiza contenders with cuts of more traditional proportions.
In a firm reminder of the nostalgic values that the White Isle still musters throughout the industry, volume two of Toolroom’s Ibiza 2012 compilations bring the Mediterranean heat seamlessly with another fine instalment of essential Balearic gems.

The Stockholm talents Chris Melin and Adrian Bood combine forces for an absolute ground-breaker. Deriving from the last few years’ rise of a darker take on progressive house music in conjunction with elements from the electro-house scene, Fest is made up by a rugged lead, softly complemented by light tone and voice squeaks and smooth yet banging baselines. As a strong representative of D.O.N.S and Mikael Weermets’ Kingdom Kome Cuts imprint, another two out of Sweden’s extensive string of aspiring producers come forward to unfold their best record to date. Although its progression may to some occur as dull, its vividness and powerfulness evince otherwise, making this into a throbbing gem worthy a spin at any top-tier DJ show.
Representing D.O.N.S and Mikael Weermets’ Kingdom Kome Cuts imprint, the talented Chris Melin and Adrian Bood join forces to produce an absolute stunning piece. A killer cut of a tune that is certain to be a destroyer on dancefloors all across the globe. Jammed with growling synth lines and brilliantly made cacophonous sounds, Fest is one massive tune to keep your eyes peeled out for. It’s due out November 11th, have a listen!
