Outside of the European peak time obsession, 2012 has spelt a sturdy overhaul of deep and vintage gems so far. In a firm extension of his soulful studio output, Andre Sobota is back to make his debut on Mark Knight’s Toolroom Records.

Packed with warm melodic synths and emotive sample work, Sobota goes in a similar vein as his Pryda Friends debut ‘Voyager‘ EP to create two tracks that are sure to bring some heat to the Winter season. Out December 17th.

Having caught the attention of Pete Tong with his breakthrough remix of Coldplay and Rihanna’s ‘Princess of China’, Eric Prydz’s latest Pryda Friends protégé André Sobota puts Brazil back on the map with a poignant two-track label debut.

While the wholeheartedly uplifting lead work of ‘Voyager’ lays tribute to the new school movement of Progressive House triumphs that Prydz’s infamous imprint have become regular supliers of, ‘Found’ pits the young Brazilian producer against his likeminded Pryda peer Fehrplay in a triumphant union of the labels freshest artist singings for a dark and hypnotic display of emotively refined floor fuel. As eclectic in sound as it is rich in quality, the EP remains a firm indicator that amid the hustle and bustle of 21st century Dance music Pryda Friends has stumbled across pure gold where its newfound talents are concerned.

Coming off the Pete Tong-approved remix of Coldplay and Rihanna’s ‘Princess Of China‘, Sao Paulo-based Andre Sobota provides us with a taste of the A-side of his forthcoming debut release on Eric Prydz’s Pryda Friends label. As premiered amid the second episode of Prydz’s recently launched EP/IC Radio podcast, ‘Voyager’ will alongside the yet to be unveiled ‘Found’ see Sobota formally join Fehrplay as the second of Pryda Friends’ two newly signed label talents. Reminiscent of the graceful manner in which Prydz has tirelessly racked up a string of timeless offerings during his many years on the beat, ‘Voyager’ reeks of emotive vibes and deep melodics that could easily have been mistaken for a longstanding House veteran.

The ‘Voyager’ EP will be released July 9th via Pryda Friends.

Ahead of his debut on Pryda Friends, Brazil-based Andre Sobota comes out with his official remix on Coldplay and Rihanna’s acclaimed collaborative effort ‘Princess Of China’. Premiered on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection and with Eric Prydz singing his praises on BBC Radio 1, few remixes have had such a spectacular inaugration into the limelight as Andre Sobota’s take on ‘Princess Of China’.

Teeming with warm vintage synths, delicate drum work and crisp percussions, Sobota’s second mark in 2012 is one of distinctive properties, setting the bar for his forthcoming release on Pryda Friends high.
