Hot on the heels from last month’s original release, Grant Smillie and Walden’s ‘A Million Lights‘ returns to Neon Records for round two with remix duties from Sweden’s rising Progressive duo Bauer & Lanford.

With their take on Adrian Lux’s ‘Weekend Heroes‘ doing the rounds, the duo continue their onslaught of blissful Progressive House with a formidable remodel of the old school/new school Aussie pair’s latest single. Ditching the original’s somewhat cheesy undertone for a harmonic mixture of euphoric moments and lush melodic play, Bauer & Lanford’s remix shines a proud light for modern Progressive House done right.

Merely four months after it’s the release of Adrian Lux’s self-entitled debut artist album for Ultra Records, August sees Lux bring aboard talent from both sides of the Atlantic for the return of the twelve-track album in a remixed and extended form.

The revival of numerous remixes of Adrian Lux’s back catalogue aside, Sweden’s Bauer & Lanford take the headline spot as the more restrained canvas of ‘Weekend Heroes’ is given a euphoric turn to the festival proof energy that 21st century Dance music now demands. Building further on the definitive lead play and atmospheric energy of the aforementioned duo, Ken Loi replaces the vintage instrumental work of Adrian Lux’s ‘Angels’ with stadium-esque synths and chugging bass lines before rounding things off with an acid-esque Franz Novotny remix of ‘Silence’ and the sought-after extended version of Lux and Lune’s minimalistic take on ‘Leave The World Behind’.

Although it may not feature the newest of tracks, the 3rd episode of Axel Bauer and Lanford’s newly launched mixtape series is a one hour showcase of a somewhat diverse picks and well-oiled transitions. Apart from the Swede’s solid halfhour mix, rising French Michael Canitrot joins in as this episode’s special guest to deliver a delightful 35 minute guest mix.
