Turning his head for the realms of disco-infused House music, Dutch up-and-comer Beauriche takes on official remix duties for American lady group First Choice’s 1979 hit ‘Love Thang.’
Following in the footsteps of numerous instalments on Avanti Records, Beauriche’s coarse brass leads and spirited rhythmic progressions see his latest remix celebrate a rich heritage of House music with a funky 21st century spin.
Out in late January.
It may have been a while since his debut on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings with ‘Spank’ alongside DJ Funkadelic, now known as Dannic, but if this third release on Black Hole’s Avanti imprint is any indication, Beauriche has certainly not slipped over the past year.
Stepping away from the heavier-set realms of Dance music to pursue groove-induced House music, Boris Smit is on hand to prove that Breda’s Dance export isn’t all high-octane festival music. Perhaps not as aptly titled as Cajmere and Gene Farris’ recent release with the same name, but ‘Riviera’ is as successful a digression from the heavy sound more commonly associated with Smit’s Beauriche moniker as it is indicative of energetic House music done right.
