Having ascended the industry ladder considerably throughout 2012, Germany’s Deniz Koyu makes his hotly anticipated return to Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Records imprint to follow up festival favorite ‘Bong’.

First premiered on Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour last year, ‘Rage’ plays the peak time sensibilities we expect from Koyu close to heart, using rhythmic progressions and an adrenaline fuelled climax of grinding leads to seal yet another fine example of Dance music fit for the club floor and festival circuit alike.

Phazing Records head honcho Dirty South unites with Germany’s Deniz Koyu to release the finished product of a joint studio session back in late August of last year, entitled ‘Halo’.

A set-staple throughout the City Of Dreams tour and set to to be the last release for the label before Dirty South’s debut studio album ‘Speed Of Life‘ drops on March 5th, ‘Halo’ rallies the duo’s knack for melodic stylings alongside their superior production values to create a solid first release of the New Year for the Aussie-German duo.

Words by Dan Carter

On the heels of the original release as part of ”Nothing But The Beat 2.0,” David Guetta and Taped Rai’s ”Just One Last Time” receives a slew of remixes courtesy of Dutch heavyweight Tiësto, Refune-approved German contender Deniz Koyu and Russia’s Hard Rock Sofa.

While the acclaimed Dutch icon extends his melodic charm with a key-driven take on the original that ascends into his notably uplifting play book, Koyu goes in a similar vein as last year’s ‘Dangerous’ remix alongside Johan Wedel to replace the instrumental work of ‘Just One Last Time’ with his signature chugging synth leads and soothing interludes. With their ‘big room’ remix sitting comfortably at #1 on Beatport, the Russian trio round out the package with a slightly more melodic version of their chart-topping take.

Germany’s eclectic Deniz Koyu has been something of a recurring favourite on the global Dance music circuit over the past few years. But following up on his official take of Miike Snow’s ‘Pretender’, Koyu ups the ante to bat for the remix package of David Guetta and Taped Rai’s new single, ”Just One Last Time.”

Debuted on the latest episode of Nicky Romero’s ‘Protocol Radio’ show, the Refune-approved German goes in a similar vein as last year’s ‘Dangerous’ remix alongside Johan Wedel to replace the instrumental work of ‘Just One Last Time’ with his signature chugging synth leads and soothing interludes.

Update: Official Soundcloud sample added.

Few aspiring artists have risen with the same outright vigour as promising German contender Deniz Koyu. But back on remix duty after his heavily supported take on Zedd’s ‘Spectrum‘, the young fast-riser takes on the familiar stylings of Swedish-American indie pop trio Miike Snow for a signature remix of their latest album single, ‘Pretender’.

Utilising Andrew Wyatt’s blissful top line with lengthy pads, mesmerizing melodies and beautiful strings, Koyu lays down a formative number that may not top that of his Refune Records debut ‘Bong‘ but excels on the merits of style and consistency for this proud mark for European Dance music.
