It may have been many moons since Justice redefined the globe’s enthusiasm for divine French Electro, but with their second album ”Audio, Video, Disco” still at large, a formative remix package for fourth single ‘New Lands’ was the only befitting tribute to their successive resurrection.

More formally attributed to his collaborative works alongside Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter, DJ Falcon breaks his notable silence with a sophisticated sweep of the new age duos latest album asset. Shaking off the creative rust with seamless ease, his take on ‘New Lands’ drives simplicity and warm melodic substance to forge a mature and remarkably powerful take.

Outside of his whacky Duck Sauce moniker, Canada’s A-Trak has leapt from strength to strength with his solid output of unique club gems. In similar fashion, his heavyset take on ‘New Lands’ is as indicative of his outside-of-the-box approach to Electronic music as it is to the inspirational properties Justice’s latest album mark has sparked from one of the more outspoken idols of modern Dance music.

Despite sacrificing some his thoroughbred Electro energy for a surge of Hip Hop-oriented beats, Ed Banger favourite and unfathomable French club monger SebastiAn promptly amends what could have been a fatal blow of character. Promptly transitioning back to the more sacred wrath of his tectonic Electro stylings that have championed his name over the past several years, his take on ‘New Lands’ impresses, but fails to take the lead over the impressive collection of remodels that ornament Justice’s fourth album single.

There is no denying Breakbot’s stellar ear for infectious music. But on hand to don their indie house wizardry to Thibaut Berland’s ‘Baby I’m Yours’ follow-up alongside Irfane, Los Angeles duo Oliver make their debut on Busy P’s Ed Banger Records with an unremitting take on ‘One Out Of Two’. Back on remix duty following their official remix of Foster The People’s ‘Don’t Stop‘, Vaughn Oliver and Oliver Goldstein raise the stakes for Breakbot’s latest countdown release in anticipation for his full-length debut artist album ”By Your Side” with a 118 BPM contribution of pure bliss.

Cleansed in spiritual vibes that echo the heyday of emotionally charged club music, Oliver’s soulful charge of Irfane’s frisky vocals and warm vintage lead play suggests resurgence from the moody vibes currently overriding the industry.

Responsible for two all-time classics alongside Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter, Parisian Stephane Queme, better known to the world as DJ Falcon, returns to the forefront to break the silence that followed the acclaimed 2002 release of ‘So Much Love To Give’. Making his debut on Busy P’s Ed Banger Records, Queme joins in as one of the three remixers of ‘New Lands’, the forthcoming fourth single taken from Justice’s somewhat recent second studio album.

But in spite of his long overdue return, the quality-over-quantity approach of this seemingly timeless French House asset continues to prove the winning formula as he brings us an unprecedented remodel of one of electronic music’s most prominent acts of all time. Apart from Morgan Phalen’s indie-like voice, it is its simplicity and consistency that drive Falcon’s latest remix home as the remix package’s definite headliner.

Set for release on June 26th.

Ed Banger Records head honcho Busy P has always had a great sense for what’s a hit and what’s not. With a discography that includes the likes of Daft Punk, Justice and the late DJ Mehdi among others, Thibaut Berland, better known as Breakbot, was never going to be a mediocre signing. Having been somewhat quiet since last year’s inimitable ‘Fantasy’, France-born Berland breaks the silence with ‘Programme’ – the B-side of a new, forthcoming release. See it as a late Easter gift if you will, but Ed Banger are, and have never been, no strangers to free give-aways.

Carrying hallmarks quite similar to the aforementioned smash hit, ‘Programme’ is the epitome of a modern take on French house. Despite holding a kind of poppy appeal, the simplicity and innovativeness hinted within Breakbot’s now given away new original are not to mess with. Borrowing elements from the days DJs were yet to become superstars, the guitar lead and carefully crafted drums make for something of a downright cool new school / old school production. If this, as just a taste, is anything good, I bet you Breakbot’s forthcoming album ”By Your Side” is something to eagerly await.
