A formative figure amid the armada of talented British producers, the little sharp-teethed monster best known as Feed Me returns to Mau5trap to follow up on ‘Love Is All I Got’ with the release of a new three-track EP.

With a sound scope ranging from the distorted computer voice and intricate melodic stylings of title track ‘Death By Robot’ to the scattered bleeps of ‘Dialup Days’ and aggressive grinding of ‘Gravel,’ the ‘Death By Robot’ EP is a strong indication that the hysteria surrounding Feed Me remains wholeheartedly earned.

Out today on Beatport and iTunes.

Update: Out January 16th.

Teaming up alongside London-based ‘electrofolk’ outfit Crystal Fighters, Feed Me steps away from the tough Electro beats now synonymous with his musical movements for a single of beautiful proportions in ‘Love Is All I Got’. Blending systematic beats, delightful piano play and segments of his own, aggressive Electro sound, Gooch flexes his instrumental muscles to match the British/Spanish band’s soothing vocal stylings with an instrumentation that may stir a slight sense of disdain among the more pure bred Feed Me fans but indicates that the sharp-teethed Brit has still got multiple aces up his sleeve.

But where the original marks an unexpected digression from his signature sound, Feed Me’s own ‘Matilda’ remix sees him Gooch’s ‘Matilda’ remix sees him swap its more soothing beats and ultra-treble guitars for that tough collection of mechanic beats and pulsing lead work. Rounding off the package, German Deep House advocate Larse lays down a minimalistic number of deep bass play and rhythmic swells.

With the remnants of last year’s landmark release ‘So Long’ still doing the rounds, Dortmund’s rising Deep House advocate Larse makes his Mau5trap Recordings debut with his take on Feed Me and Crystal Fighters’ upcoming single.

Back on remix duty after taking Candi Staton’s ‘Hallelujah Anyway‘ through the motions of deep bass play and rhythmic swells, the German producer goes in a similar vein to lay down a minimalistic number of ‘Love Is All I Got‘. Teeming with steady grooves and reverberated melodies, Larse’s latest remix adds yet further weight to the Deep House overhaul that he remains a strong contender to.

Out November 18th.

Between the evocative crossovers and standard setting club stylings, Jon Gooch has remained as unpredictable as he is indispensible to Dance music. But back in true Feed Me fashion, London’s sharp-teethed little monster takes on remix duties for his own, forthcoming single alongside hometown ‘electrofolk’ outfit Crystal Fighters, ‘Love Is All I Got’.

Where the original marked an unexpected digression from his robust signature sound, Gooch’s ‘Matilda’ remix sees him swap its systematic beats and ultra-treble guitars for the tough collection of mechanic beats and pulsing lead work that we have come to associate with his Feed Me moniker over the years.

UK’s Jonathan Gooch, better known to the world as Feed Me, makes his long overdue return with a new single in tow. Following up on February’s six-track ‘Escape From The Mountain’ EP, the Annie Mac-approved ‘Little Cat Steps’ sees Gooch make his sixth appearance on Mau5trap Recordings in true Feed Me fashion. Dealing in a strong surge of mechanical lead work and heavy-stepping beats, the ironically titled ‘Little Cat Steps’ may not mirror that of its joking title but plays out aptly to the tough Electro beat work that we have come to associate with United Kingdom’s sharp-teethed little monster and the acclaimed record label of deadmau5 alike.
