Out on April 9th through Tiësto’s Musical Freedom.

Just a stone’s throw away from Size Records 100th release to date, budding Miami threesome GTA, Henrix and Digital Lab unite to unleash the label’s third single of 2013, ‘Hit It’. Already given a formative test run at Size In The Park and more recent airplay on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection radio show, ‘Hit It’ relentlessly sweeps the various dimensions of modern dance music, leaping from moderately euphoric synth work to low-end digressions of peak time floor fuel with fluent energy throughout. Far from the cookie cutter schematics that have overridden the industry of late, the trio unites to pen an undeniable landmark in the label’s ever-reliable ear for ground-breaking talent.

With “Album Title Goes Here” still at large, Mau5trap releases the first formal remix package for a track off of Deadmau5’s latest studio album, calling upon GTA, Nom De Strip and Eekkoo to put their touches on the album’s Wolfgang Gartner collaboration ‘Channel 42′.

On hand with a dark and grainy sound, GTA take the lead with a remix of stadium-worthy beat work. Borrowing heavily from the hypnotizing melodics of the Deadmau5 and Wolfgang Gartner original, Nom De Strip strips down it’s instantly recognizable Electro House segments to a minimalistic, bass-heavy beat, leaving it to aspiring Canadian Eekkoo to chop ‘Channel 42′ into a bouncy Tech House formula.

Out today on iTunes and Beatport.

Outside of his part in whacky House tag-team Duck Sauce, Montreal’s A-Trak is not only the DJ’s DJ, but an impressively outgoing asset of musical differentiation. Joined by Tommy Trash, GTA, Galantis, and Oliver, Alain Macklovitch follows up his remix of ‘Misunderstanding‘ with a diverse four-track EP titled ‘Tuna Melt’.

With a sound scope ranging from the chugging chord play of title track ‘Tuna Melt’ to the trap stylings of ‘Landline’ to the pitch-defying leads and burly low-end riffage of ‘Jumbo’ and ‘Disco Nap’, the ‘Tuna Melt’ EP marks not only a collection of some of the most interesting collaborations of late, but an unorthodox shot of hope for the dance music scene.
