Given the sturdy charm of his last two offerings for Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman’s Flamingo Records imprint, rising German House asset Gum Me returns to the renowned label in an attempt to prove that three really is the magic number with ‘Sweaty Shirts’.

Following up from February’s ‘NightGames’, Michael Heuser ditches the clichéd lead play that has come to characterise modern Dance music only to drive his moody synth leads and low-end bass play home with consistency and attitude. With a further debut release for Size Records on the way, ‘Sweaty Shirts’ seperates Gum Me from the lucky few and asserts his long-term sights within the now empowered EDM industry.

Gum Me – Sweaty Shirts

Words by Dan Carter

Following up February’s ‘NightGames’ and last years two track label debut, German new school contender Michael Heuser, better known to the world as Gum Me, returns to the record imprint of Fedde le Grand and Funkerman to present his third Flamingo release, entitled ‘Sweaty Shirts’. Rife with moody synth leads alongside an array of grinding basslines, the German’s third release in 2012 acts as something of a breath of fresh air to an industry currently overridden by far cheesier lead play. With a further debut release for Steve Angello’s Size Records on the way, Heuser can be commended for catching the attention of some of the club scene’s most potent quality controllers with utmost ease.

‘Sweaty Shirts’ will be released on June 11th via Flamingo Recordings.
