Following on from the delayed release of ‘Reason‘, Aussie tune monger Anthony Maniscalco emerges from down-under to don his stern studio dexterity and unpretentious eye for improvements to Michael Calfan’s melodic Miami Music Week contender, ‘Mozaik’.

Comfortably building a repertoire of grinding beat work around the leads of Calfan’s original, ‘Mozaik’ receives a powerful remix from Australia’s hotly tipped Hook N Sling. While his efforts may not leap off the shelf on the merits of originality, the heavier kicks and sturdier low-end riffage certainly make Maniscalco’s take on ‘Mozaik’ a noteworthy remix.

Where the Spice Girls ruined any positive eloquence for the phrase ‘Girl Power’, hit songwriters turned evangelist Progressive House sisterly duo Nervo have certainly given their genre a womanly touch of superior measures. In a familiar dose of their quirky Progressive stylings, Liv and Mim pick up where ‘You’re Gonna Love Again‘ left off and team up with homeland peer Hook N Sling to dive straight back into their ongoing quest to perfect the melodic vocal anthem.

Rife with emotive yet determined energy and soaked in that signature Hook N Sling charm, ‘Reason’ sets the tone ahead of an onslaught of vocal Nervo cuts alongside Nicky Romero, Norman Doray and Omarion that is likely to make the remaining five months of 2012 all that more exciting.

For all the global assets pushing the realms of vocal House music, few have hammered the consistent charm of Sydney’s Anthony Maniscalco, better known on the floor as Hook N Sling. Off the heels of his gold disc racking collaboration ‘Take You Higher’ alongside homeland peer Goodwill, ‘Surrender’ sees the melodic Aussie sensation extend his affinity for vocal moments for Spinnin Records.

Led by a top line from Evermore, Maniscalco flexes his instrumental muscles to match the uplifting vocal properties of ‘Surrender’ with piercing keys and poignant synth play throughout. Sitting considerably far from the more melodic intimacy of his gold-disc breakthrough, ‘Surrender’ proves that Hook N Sling is anything but a one trick pony amid a time in which such emotively poised outings remain gold dust.
