Despite the cold weather and depressing output of reality TV, there are still a few reasons left for the UK to show a little pride when it comes to national assets. With diamond-like precision, Alex Metric and Stuart Price, also known as Jacques Lu Cont have raised the bar where forward-thinking dance music is concerned. But given a world premiere spin by Annie Mac on BBC Radio One last night, the two Brits combine forces to unveil their new collaborative effort, ‘Safe With You’. Rallying fast twitching melodic play, coarse undertones and a seductive vocal line from Malin Dahlström of Niki & The Dove, ‘Safe With You’ pays further testament to the duo’s ability to master several different sound scopes.

The release date is yet to be announced.

British electro technician Stuart Price, more commonly known under the alias of Jacques Lu Cont, combines forces with Size Records boss Steve Angello to breathe new life into Depeche Mode’s ‘Soothe My Soul’ – a track off of the band’s 13th studio album – in the name of organic dance music. Consistently sharp but embracing an old-school twist reminiscent of Steve Angello circa 2006, the duo tackle Depeche Mode’s original with the utmost respect, replacing it’s rhythmic drum pattern and overall darkly intimate sound with vintage energy and fast-laced electro stylings.

First played exclusively for fans in attendance of his performance at the Sirius XM headquarters back in mid November, a high-quality preview of Jacques Lu Cont’s much-anticipated remix of Dirty South and Alesso’s ‘City Of Dreams’ has finally surfaced, courtesy of last night’s Essential Mix by Dirty South himself.

Away from all things fist-pumping, Stuart Price’s remix maintains the blissful vibe of the original but in a considerably calmer and more collected sense. Armed with an array of effortlessly beautiful melodies, Price utilises Rudy’s haunting vocals without so much as a hint of misplaced emotion.

In the aftermath of his diverse third studio album ‘Out Of The Black,’ eclectic German producer Boys Noize returns with the remixes for album singles ‘Ich R U’ and ‘What You Want.’

Headlined by the downright inspiring sounds of veteran producer Stuart Price, now more commonly known as Jacques Lu Cont, and Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo, the remix package veers between futuristic and the more traditional stylings of Deep House and nu-disco.

Since last year’s launch, Brodinski’s Bromance Records has mustered some incredibly assorted talents amongst it’s steadily expanding roster. But gearing up for it’s seventh release, the fifth edition of the label’s EP series sees Stuart Price make his Bromance debut with ‘In The Night’.

As officially premiered in his Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, Price embraces his Jacques Lu Cont moniker yet again for a classic follow-up to ‘Underground‘. Teeming with his fast-laced techno stylings and soaked in that familiar Jacques Lu Cont charm, Price would struggle to find a more promising first coming to Bromance Records.

Taken from the American rock band The Killers’ fourth studio album, ‘Flesh and Bone’ receives a fresh lick of paint from British baron Stuart Price, also known as Jacques Lu Cont. Certainly not a stranger to high-end remix duties, Price follows up his take on Coldplay’s ‘Charlie Brown‘ to don his ear against the penetrating vocals of The Killers’ latest single.

Laced with broken beats and the original’s frisky lead play and embracing an old-school twist, the Jacques Lu Cont remix of ‘Flesh and Bone’ follows suit alongside his already sterling arsenal of gritty House gems in celebration of the mixed European roots that have seen flourish across the globe.

With Pete Tong and Annie Mac singing its praises on their respective prime-time radio shows for BBC Radio 1, legendary British producer Stuart Price, also known as Jacques Lu Cont, continues to raise the bar with his authentically tailored exploits of a certain vintage appeal as he comes out with yet another refreshing free release. Fresh off the release of ‘Underground‘ and an acclaimed debut on the Essential Mix, Price continues the trend of simply giving things away with a free download of his unofficial remix of Coldplay’s ‘Charlie Brown’. In spite of the official remix release falling in favor of Dave Aude’s far less innovative version, Jacques Lu Cont’s take on the track reigns supreme with a mixture of subtle keys, growling bass lines and rhythmic drum work.
