With his nation proving potent on the global clubbing circuit throughout 2012, Swedish Eric Prydz protégé Jeremy Olander returns with a dose of techno-infused House music courtesy of latest single ‘Tenfifteen’. Premiered on episode 503 of Carl Cox’s Global Radio show, ‘Tenfifteen’ sees Olander digress from his uplifting melodic stylings, channeling sturdy progressive grooves through a continuous yet befitting wave of filter effects. But with mechanical rhythm and a worthy extension of his talents for crafting harmonic tracks, this mixture of Techno and House acts as an impressive arrow to the bow of one of Sweden’s more promising talents on the ascent.

Much alike fellow mentor and seasoned Progressive House enthusiast Eric Prydz, Jeremy Olander has always had an affinity for efficiency and hard work where producing is concerned. With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that unreleased productions keep piling up.
But with a wish to start cranking out more music, an old Jeremy Olander production titled ‘Pusher’ is officially seeing the light of day as the soundtrack to a new and somewhat artistic short movie attempting to ”depict a harsh, sad and unfortunate reality of any given metropolitan city in the 21st century.” Though currently not set for a release, the melodic charm of ‘Pusher’ is a strong indication that the production dexterity of Jeremy Olander is no overnight phenomen.

Returning to the more soothing realms of Dance music, Jeremy Olander debuts on Toolroom Records with a new original track called ‘Norrsken’. As given an exclusive spin in episode four of Eric Prydz’s EPIC Radio and attempting to perfect the soundtrack to the scenic view of northern lights, ‘Norrsken’ plays aptly out its title with relaxing substance.
Showcasing Olander’s penchant for harmonious Progressive House delicacies, the production deals in soothing flows of melodic bliss from the outset. As it’s melodic developments weave between the track’s echoing vocal samples, ‘Norrsken’ reigns in as one of the more soulful offerings to emerge from the Eric Prydz protégé of late.
P.S. Happy 25th birthday Jeremy!

Fresh off the Techno-oriented release of ‘Layerleaf‘ under his Dhillon moniker and the free giveaway of ‘Audio Bug‘, proud Eric Prydz protégé Jeremy Olander is back at the forefront of genre defying musical movements to officially release his Creamfields-premiered debut EP for MYNC’s Cr2 Records.
Rife with those Pryda-esque moments and boasting an air of memorable atmospherics, chugging beats and a waterfall of colourful synth play see ‘The Rose Law’ take the headline spot of his first formal EP release for 2012. But with deep emotive resonance and melodic swirls, the equally impressive B-side finalizes Olander’s official return to no-nonsense originals after last year’s ‘Fairfax’ EP with utmost ease.

There is much that can be said about the current state of the Dance music industry. But never one to conform to the vast majority, Jeremy Olander is back to celebrate the Monday release of his first original EP since ‘Fairfax‘ with a freshly unveiled free original track.
Teeming with those Pryda-esque moments in a mixture of intense melodic progressions and rigorously tuned keys, Olander sets the record straight with a surprisingly strong free giveaway that collects all the favoured elements of his beloved studio output with persuasive strength. Escaping the tedium of the realms of grinding Electro House once again, Olander’s ‘Audio Bug’ is yet another indicator that this young Swede is far more than just an Eric Prydz protégé.

Pete Tong returns to flash back on the cancellation of last week’s UK edition of Creamfields 2012 with a Creamfields special of his Essential Selection radio show for BBC Radio 1.
Opening his show with a solid sprint of fine floor-fillers, Nicky Romero and Calvin Harris’ ‘Iron‘ set the tone for last night’s proceedings, with Fedde Le Grand and Deniz Koyu’s remix of Digitalism’s ‘Zdarlight‘, Madeon’s ‘The City‘, the Kryder and Tom Staar take on ‘Can’t Stop Me‘ and Larse’s remix of ‘Hallelujah Anyway‘ emphasising the strong European culture currently dominating the industry. But straying promptly from the overt Swedish Progressive House onslaught, Plezier’s Anthem hit the essential contender spot for it’s Essential Selection debut, while the still unreleased Maceo Plex and Jon Dasilva was beaten to the mark of Essential New Tune by swift UK manoeuvre in the form of Hot Natured’s ‘Benediction‘.
Following highlights from Rudimental’s Creamfields set and a further play of AN21 and Max Vangeli’s ‘Bombs Over Capitals‘, Jeremy Olander was on hand to close out last night’s episode with a jam packed 40 minute extract from his Creamfields set at the Pryda Friends stage.

As the proud protégé of Eric Prydz, Jeremy Olander has raised the bar substantially high for 2012. But in a stern digression from his uplifting peak time stylings, the Swedish producer drops his Progressive hallmarks to unite with Adam Beyer’s Drumcode imprint as formative Techno presence Dhillon.
Joning Henrik B as one of the two artists to have balanced signings to both Pryda Friends and Drumcode over the years, ‘Layerleaf’ makes for a quality addition to the labels latest ‘A-Sides’ compilation. But with mechanical rhythm and a worthy extension of his talents for crafting intricate melodies, this transition to the realms of gritty Techno acts as an impressive arrow to the bow of one of Sweden’s more promising talents on the ascent.
