Still casting his definitive studio guise across the globe at a phenomenal pace, Stockholm’s John Dahlback re-tunes his summer clubbing arsenal with a distracted peak timer for Joia Records. While the familiar big synths may be put on hold for Dahlback’s latest studio endeavor, the distinct lead work and infectious sample patterns that pervade ‘Comet’ reign in as further proof to the assorted studio gems that the Swedish heavyweight continues to shift at large.

Told to be the official follow-up to 2009’s trenchant Alcoholic, the Swedish superstar DJ Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, returns to Joia Records as Before This Night Is Through (Bad Things) under his Tim Berg moniker is finally getting released, more than a year after its initial premiere during the Avicii show at AF Borgen in Lund on October 7th 2010. Since the releases of Bromance and Tweet It (with Norman Doray and Sebastien Drums) ventured the digital market through PinkStar and Steve Angello’s Size Records in mid 2010, the progression of Tim Berg has more or less been put aside for the 22 year old Stockholmer to pursue his successful advancement under the Avicii alias lately. Chart-topping hits such as Fade Into DarknessSunshine, LevelsSweet Dreams and Blessed are barely a few of the astounding efforts, along with achievements like launching his own record label, starting a new podcast, going victorious in a trial against the world renowned Leona Lewis and her limitless resources and playing countless prestigious dance event throughout the year, a legendary show at Studio 54 in New York included, pioneering his impressive ascent in 2011.

Following the uncovering of his new single with vocals from Eric Turner, Dancing In My Head, the newest release from camp Avicii is the headliner of Joia Records’ accumulation for their 10 year anniversary, the distinct piece known by its signature ”I Wanna Do Bad Things With You” chant. Going from a symphonic break-down, also incorporating powerful string instruments, to utmostly meaty beats and a simple yet fist-pumping chord array, this killer cut is at last seeing its share of the spotlight.

Christopher and Niklas Lunde who both professionally and personally make up Lunde Bros return to Joia Records for their third appearance on the label, after the remix on Malta and last year’s debut EP. With an overall chunky sound, vigorous beats and a computer-sounding vocal with an astoundingly foul mouth, Bad Language is one of the aces off the Stockholm-based record imprint’s 10 year anniversary accumulation, led by the long-anticipated Before This Night Is Through (Bad Things) by Tim Berg, also known as Avicii. Being a pair of great distinction with a track roster, ranging from the darkest of tech to the brightest of progressive, that includes the recent debut on John Dahlback’s Mutants Records with the Saga single, and remixes of Loud Noises and Something On Your Mind, the two who made their debut release a mere year back have already shown indications of quality, skill and consistency in terms of their high-class outlet over the past 12 months.

With a continuous and steady support from none other than Fedde Le Grand, Deniz Koyu unleashes another throbbing peaktimer. Championed by Sebastian Ingrosso, Kaskade and Steve Angello among others, the German talent released the tremendous Tung! hit in late June and is now presenting the acid-influenced sequel. Moving on from last year’s Lose Control trademark and the immense take on My Feeling, Hydra comes as a representative of Sweden-based Joia Records, the record label that just recently released the remixes of Avicii’s Sweet Dreams.

The refined version of Eurythmics’ mighty original from Avicii enters Beatport yet again, this time in shape of a remix package. The club-suited Sweet Dreams from the corners of Sweden’s admirable export has certainly been an elevating moodraiser on dance events over the past couple of months. Headlining this exquisite package is none other than Paris resident Gregori Klosman, going on the heels of the intense Bounce, with his punchy signature sound, accompanied by a re-arranged version from talented Swede’s Mick Kastenholt and Andrew Dee. Unearthed by Avicii’s manager Ash, Cazzette is a new duo emerging from Sweden and hereby making their very first appearance with a clever electro sound as more is yet to come. A second package of Avicii’s huge, refined version of Eurythmics’ might original is in the works and has been fired across to Joia Records. Headlined by a massive remix from Gregori Klosman, up and coming Mick Kastenholt and Andrew Dee present us their contender for the package, adding their own, twisted electro sound to it. With a new remix for Jus Jack on the horizon and the Steve Angello-tracklisted Check This Out under their belt, they have their aim on the new dancefloor destroyer. The remixes of Sweet Dreams are due out on June 6th, have a listen!
