As far as Swiss Dance music is concerned, the powerful collective known as Helvetic Nerds have done little wrong in putting their country on the clubbing map. But not quite content with his overhaul of global club land for 2012, collaborator and national treasure EDX unites with Leventina for a formative remix of latest single ‘Blood Pressure’.

Already boasting a strong melodic backbone within its original format, the added momentum of the trio’s sharp synth work and edgy peak time riffage make for a relevant sound bite from the modern heyday of European Dance music as a whole.

Led by the renowned studio dexterity of Christian Hirt, Swiss duo Leventina return for their 26th release on Sirup Music offshoot Unreleased Digital with ‘Glorious’. Sporting an array of synthesised leads and systematic vocal spots, Leventina’s initial launch into ‘Glorious’ is one of anthemic builds, comfortably placing it amid the realms of 2012’s influx of modern Progressive House. Rich in melodic play and their signature peak-time consistency, there is something distinctly untouchable about ‘Glorious’ and the heights attained by their knack for taking the familiar and making it their own.

Fast rising Swiss hopefuls and Helvetic Nerds offshoot Leventina return to the promised land of hotly tipped Electro House contenders with the follow-up to their ‘We’re Gonna Start’ EP for Unreleased Digital, ‘Right or Wrong’. Forging a blissfully melodic canvas of distant leads alongside an inherently emotive top line, Leventina get the balance between radio friendly vocals and consistently solid floor fuel almost spot on. While their overall approach may be a familiar one amid the current digital market, their promising production values remains further testament to this promising duo making affirmative noise from the Swiss underground.

Mainly known by their 2009 release of ‘Nightshift’ through the widely known Strictly Rhythm imprint, Switzerland based Leventina are back to release another peerless effort. Representing Sirup Music’s Unreleased Digital division – which is primarily known for bringing out tunes from Dinka, EDX and Daniel Portman to name a few – the all-new Leventina single We’re Gonna Start is out, and it brought itself a companion. As if their 2009 contender was not enough to plant their name firmly on the radar of qualitative producers within the progressive house music scene, the frisky beats of what is undoubtedly their best record to date are to make sure of it. Steadily played by the likes of Thomas Gold and others, the hymn-like build-up, mighty chords and growling baselines are destined to bring We’re Gonna Start to anthem status. Accompanied by the high-pitched synth lines of Anything, this EP is a compulsory purchase.
