While the stereotype goes that Europe remain the untimely key holders to fine Trance-influenced House, China’s Dan Sayuran has always had other ideas. Under his potent axisONE moniker, Sayuran returns to Swedish imprint Macarize to follow up the May release of ‘Vega‘.

Enhancing his diverse hold on melodic play alongside the usual suspenseful rises of an axisONE-branded production, the distant leads and consistent turning drums of ‘Warp’ and ‘Mach’ mark the pathway to two distinctive mixes of sharp keys and anthemic synth work. For an artist anything but engulfed in global hysteria, these latest efforts mark a continuation of the emotional depth and well-crafted club cuts we have come to associate with China’s undisputed leader of the new school.

With a steadily rising output of strong floor-orientated contenders, Finnish newcomers Labtracks emerge armed with the ardent energy of vintage Electronica with the melodic resonance of Pryda to present a very modern take on some of the more heartfelt influences available to modern EDM.

While club footed a-side ‘Stimulation’ sets the tone with an ambient take on the realms of ambient lead driven Progressive House, ‘All Night’ subtly encompasses the charm of pristine Electro pop with an emphasis on solid synth progressions throughout. Despite their obvious old school orientation, this dynamic Finnish getup remain ahead of their time on the merits of creative club music with stunning atmospherics.

Steering the attention from his overbearing European peers, Hong Kong’s Dan Sayuran returns to the spotlight under his axisONE moniker with the powerful melodic outing ‘Vega‘ for Swedish imprint Macarize.

While the title may echo that of Eric Prydz’s formative Pryda anthem by the same name, Sayuran’s sound scope drives considerably heavier undertone into the melodic House concept, balancing delicate melodic Progressions with a fiery ambient guise of stern chord play throughout this emotive yet persistent club track. Without a single Electro grind or cheesy vocal sample in earshot, axisONE sticks to his guns with yet another creative gem that highlights the essential talent that can still be found outside of Europe and its atypical Progressive House regions.

Responsible for countless chart-worthy offerings and an artist roster that lacks of fame but hints strongly of talent and aspiration, the new year promises to be another big one for Macarize as one of Holland’s finest Progressive House acts prepares to make her debut on the label with a new remix of hers. Where the original saw itself become one of Macarize’s hottest assets last Summer, Amsterdam-residing Kristin Schrot, better known as Miss Nine, saw it fit giving Audible’s ‘Summit’ an even more impressive remodel. Adding a blissful synth progression and a playful break-down to the already summerish original, Miss Nine’s Macarize debut flaunts with its presence as her possibly best work to date.

As far as experimental underground goes, Macarize has proven capable of discovering nothing but the most talented, outright and newest of aspirants and being way on trend on all things melodic, summerish and soothing. Hailing from South Yorkshire, England, 27 year-old Dipen Ravalia, professionally known as D05, makes way for his premiere release. In a two track EP where Zeon sees itself starring as a solid headliner, Ravalia offers a glimpse of his fairly fresh production qualities with a dynamic flute lead and a dominant bass line, softly complimented by a number of well-crafted synth lines and crisp percussions. Being an overall ear-friendly treat to the aural cavities, Zeon rounds the year of Macarize off as its 38th release since the label’s initial launch back in late March.

Hailing from Arizona, USA, Tony Mendez, professionally known as the 18 year old up-and-coming nu-disco producer Fuzzy Cuzzin, makes his first appearance on the fairly new Swedish Macarize label with the blinding record that is Canis. From brilliantly pitched tones, an altisonant woman’s voice and subtle yet remarkable, quick chords to soulful and frisky synths in bond with some large kicks, Canis constitutes a perfect musical counterpart to the warmth and feel of a hot Summer day. Coming on the back of the gorgeous axisONE remix of Yuu and Daiquiri’s wildly underestimated Illusion / Lily EP, this beauty of a track is another piece in the strong and rapid advance of Macarize, the label that is behind a whooping 35 releases since its launch in late March of this year.

Weaving his characteristic progressive style together with the way of working with vocal chops we’ve come to learn from Anjunabeats artist Mat Zo, Dan Sayuran, professionally known as axisONE, makes another instantly memorable appearance. Formerly recognized for the grooves of How I Prefer You and his releases on We Recommend Records – the Everything To Me / Hexa EP and the dizzying Waiting For You – the aspiring Hong Kong-raised producer takes on the latest making from Liverpool-based Mindset, entitled Yuu, for a harmonically correct recut now released on Macarize. Screening a bit of a French touch twist to the euphoria originating from the high-pitched synth lead and growling bass lines, axisONE offers proof of his deftness yet again.
