Representing the more potent part of Canada’s new breed of talented producers currently emerging, Montreal’s Maher Daniel makes his debut on the Rejected imprint. Single-handedly picked by head honcho Joris Voorn himself, Daniel has laid down a respectable amount of soulfulness and production proficiency for what is looking to be his best offering to date. Featuring a slightly distorted lead, some solid drum combinations and a soothing interlude, the two-track EP’s ‘Big Bad Clay’ does certainly live up to its status as the package’s headliner, still leaving room for the B-side’s ‘House Of All Kinds’ play the chunkier role with an array of rolling percussions and dominant drum lines.
