Despite the cold weather and increasingly depressing output of reality TV, there are a few reasons left for Britain to show a little pride when it comes to national accolades . With diamond-like precision, Marc Stacey has raised the bar where British Tech House triumph is concerned. Having frequented notorious Manchester nightspot Sankeys at the outset of his career, a prominent debut for Maquina in the form of ‘Say What’ proved that despite his relatively late-arrival into the industry, his studio output could not be shrugged off.

But Annie proves to be a lucky girl in this triumphant return to the imprint of dignified UK underground force Threesixty and Dirty Harris. Driving deep soulful vocal spots alongside a vivacious backdrop of eclectic rhythm and precise bass grooves, Stacey’s latest Maquina offering is a testament not only to this leader of the British new school, but the promising UK scene to which Stacey reigns a key player.
