Recently passing the 100th release mark for his Morrison Recordings imprint, longserving Canadian producer Glenn Morrison employs fast rising homeland peers Redroche in a bid to set the next centennial run for the label in full effect.
Still alight from their seminal landmark releases ‘Make Your Move’ and ‘Love Has Gone’, the duo embrace the vintage realms of Electro with a firm head for the modern energy surrounding their craft. Rich with enigmatic keys and a vast array of euphoric synth leads, Redroche’s label debut sparks a stern and melodic nod to the forward thinking properties that have continued to separate them from the hordes of global contenders. While their stateside cousins may still be under the spotlight, this mark on Morrison’s imprint is sure to drum up considerable enthusiasm for their country’s increasingly promising talent pool.
Fresh off the celebrations of Morrison Recordings’ 100th release with label head honcho Glenn Morrison’s ‘Mine & Yours‘ alongside Elise, Morrison brings aboard Canadian duo Redroche to present the equally impressive 101st label release. In a mixture of vintage synths and new school production values, Redroche’s Morrison Recordings debut marks their long overdue return to the more timeless stylings conjured by such landmark releases as ‘Make Your Move’ and ‘Love Has Gone’. Laced with cacophonic piano play and funky high-end riffage, this sturdy set back to the heyday of European Electro sets the Canadian producers well apart of their industry peers.
To be released on August 29.
