Having hammered the digital market with his eclectic studio spoils throughout the past few years, longserving Swedish producer John Dahlback drops yet another resilient original release in the form of ‘Don’t Stop’ for his own Mutants Records. From a rising array of melodic play to gritty leads and rasping low-end bass surges without the addition of overused Electro hallmarks, the two-sided release of ‘Don’t Stop’ furthers the widespread belief that Dahlback is an eclectic and consistent force amid European dance music with an ante-upping release for 2013.

Already ornamented as two of Sweden’s hotter club contenders, Lunde Bros fulfill their trilogy for John Dahlback’s Mutants imprint with the ‘Put Em Up’ EP.

‘Put Em Up’ provides a scattered ascent of vicious leads and assorted rhythmic progressions that climaxes in the duo’s signature blend of pitch pervading Electro. Despite lacking the immediate instability of the EP’s A-side, ‘Get Down’ is yet further evidence of the floor-filling progress the brotherly outfit has made. Opting for mechanical turbulence over euphoric bliss, Lunde Bros’ third installment for Mutants utilizes the disjointed take on Electro House that the duo has come to master over the past couple of years.

Given the time and progress that has ensued since John Dahlback dropped his ‘Pyramid’ single, a 2012 remix was always going to muster some considerable attention. But in a long overdue return to the forefront, the Dahlback classic receives a sturdy remix treatment courtesy of elusive wobble master Albin Myers.

In a similar vein as that of his Musical Freedom debut, ‘The Beast‘, Myers takes the timeless melodic riff of ‘Pyramid’ through the motions of fast-laced wobbles for something of a signature addition to his belt.

Besides hosting a somewhat successful podcast on a weekly basis, Sweden’s Christopher and Niklas Lunde, better known as Lunde Bros, have shown signs of holding a great deal of talent in the production department as well as an awareness as to how one should distinguish oneself as a unique contributor on the electronic dance music circuit. That being said, the Stockholm duo ante up to slate another uniquely knitted single for their second appearance on Mutants Records label. Epitomising a slightly distorted, piano-filled lead, intermittent vocal chants, rhythmic claps and squeaky upper layers, the David Guetta-supported ‘Knifeproblems’ see’s itself becoming not only the headliner of this odd yet cool EP but the inaugural release for both Lunde Bros and the record label of John Dahlback.

Led by the established John Dahlback and with a quality level that have no equals, Mutants Records might just be one of 2011’s most underestimated record labels. Opening up the year with Albin Myers’ stodgy Wobble, Mutants have pulled out a string of heavyweights this year – a string that includes Nause’s Made Of, which recently sold gold, Violins Of Donau, You’re In My Heart and One Last Ride. Hailing from the Mutants towers are now the Lunde Bros with a single rendering through Dahlback’s prestigious record imprint, coming off their remix on Loud Noises. Entitled Saga, the pair enacts its title slickly as it constitutes fairytale-like sounds to mysteriously prepare for a drop that is made up by the lurching beats the aforementioned label are responsible for bringing forth. The release of Saga also includes a makeover remix from Albin Myers and John Dahlback combined, making up the infamous MyBack outfit.
