Once France’s best kept secret, the impact of M83’s globally acclaimed sixth studio album, released last year, suggests that going with the more incognito approach is no longer an option for this French electronic music band. On the other side, Scottish producer Myles MacInnes, professionally known as Mylo, is on hand to give ‘Reunion’, one of the more potent singles off of ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’, a high-end remix. As officially premiered by Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 on Friday, Mylo’s take on the rather intricate original gives the track more of an easy on the ear appeal. Featuring a set of sweepy synths along with some crisp percussions and solid kicks, it’s safe to say that the Scotsman’s version perfectly complements the already stunning top line for a concoction that is certain see itself become a classic in due time.
The Mylo remix of ‘Reunion’ will be released on May 8th via Mute Records.
