With well over 10 years worth of contributions to an industry that in recent times has witnessed its ascent to the status of a well-acclaimed phenomen across the globe, Olav Basoski’s whopping 23 year long commitment to House music is one of essential properties. Coming off remix duties for Melleefresh and Deadmau5’s ‘Hey Baby‘, Amsterdam-based Basoski joins forces with Hungary’s Crazibiza for a new release off of the Budapest duo’s Pornostar Records. Already brandishing the seal of approval from DMC World’s latest Buzz Chart, ‘On The Run’ and its neoteric House concoction of disco vocals, groovy bass and subtle keys are accompanied by splendid renditions from Muzzaik and Mike Newman & Antoine Cortez to make up another finely tuned package of infectious disco-house for the Ibiza season.
From Didier Sinclair to Daft Punk, France have been out to take hold of European House from the outset. Rising from strength to strength and brushing shoulders with Avicii and Norman in the process, Sebastian Drums is a Frenchman truly on fire amid the hustle and bustle of Electronic Dance Music.
But given the chance to play with that fresh French fire, firm Stealth Records favourites Muzzaik are always first on hand to don their superior dance floor intellect to a worthy cause. Let loose on Sebastian’s original fusion of hard hitting Tribalesque Disco House alongside the vocal stylings of Atlanta’s Niles Mason (the voice behind David Guetta and Afrojack’s ‘Louder Than Words’) the Hungarian masters give ‘French Rules’ a lethal dose of the pacing bass and solid drops that the renowned imprint of Roger Sanchez has become synonymous with.
Words by Dan Carter
The track that was initially intended for a release through Erick Morillo’s Subliminal Records earlier this year has now come to light as an official representative of the record label of Roger Sanchez – Stealth Records. Following four hotshot collaborations with Avicii, this year’s Snus included, Sebastien Drums is no doubt one of the leading producers of France’s House music export. With belters like the hard-lined take on Faking Love and a funky remix for Let’s Get It On making partly up Drums’ output this year, the Frenchman returns to shed light on his preference of the classic sounds of French house in his upcoming release on Stealth as the title – French Rules – evidently enacts. Unfolding a vocal from the vocalist behind David Guetta and Afrojack’s Louder Than Words – Niles Mason – to hover atop the lead’s blistering grooves and disco-like vibes, French Rules is the next offering to help fuel the return of disco-house.
‘French Rules’ is set for release on January 17th via Stealth in a package along with a remix from the Budapest-based duo Muzzaik, the two who are well-known for their remix on A Little Louder. Apart from its notably techier structure, the remix has, alike the original, also got that groovy appeal that makes us wanna flash back on the times when bell-bottomed pants were a given and rounds the package off quite nicely.
Kid Massive presents us his contender for this year’s Summer events, graced with a sensitive vocal from Peyton. Following the recognized rework of Music Sounds Better With You in late 2010, A Little Louder is a catchy tune, ready to climb the charts. With a stunning package of remixes on board as well, this new release on Transmissions Recordings is headlined by a remix from TV Rock – an Australian duo which has been getting quite some recognition lately, most recently for the Flamingo single alongside Hook N Sling and Rudy named Diamonds In The Sky. The remixers list, crammed with talent, also consists of the producers behind the new Musical Freedom anthem Mush Mush, Bassjackers, as well as some serious joints from Budapest duo Muzzaik and France’s earnest Damian William!
With his latest remix for Defected on the shelves, Spain’s David Penn continues his outlet of top-class productions á la his distinguished exotic beats. Penn is hereby unleashing his meaty version of Muzzaik’s tune called Work It, featuring the groovy voice of Zaida. With the assistance of that immensely catchy beat, I’m not surprised over the impact he and his compatriots of the New Iberican League have made over the past couple of months. It’s available now on Lip Recordings!
Representing his own imprint Get Down Recordings, the London-based Kid Massive produces a somewhat massive big room track called Lose Control featuring the famous hip house vocalist MC Flipside. The release also features two stunning remixes, whereof the one signed Micha Moor has caught my attention, don’t miss out!
Another great remix by Muzzaik will be out on Spinnin Records October 26th, stay tuned!
Here is a post with yesterday’s releases, some really great tracks met the society and hopefully they will shine as lightning in the clubs! Anyhow, we got introduced to another great Chris Moody remix, this time of the legendary track from Roger Sanchez called 2Gether. The Swedish DJ/producer Albin Myers had a release yesterday with the German duo Dabruck & Klein called Lönneberga, a real ice-breaker, check it out!
The remixes of Eddie Thoneick & Erick Morillo’s massive track Nothing Better got released today. The release includes two remixes from Muzzaik and AN21 & Max Vangeli. Which one of them do you prefer the most? I think both of them sounds very good. Enjoy!
The next release from the swedish label ”Joia” is a track from Idriss Chebak, Marocco. The name of the track is ”You’re Groovy Baby” and it will inlclude a club mix and a big room mix. The release date is 24/5 2010, next monday with support from Abel Ramos, Groove Armada, Paul Hughes, Seamus Haji, Stephan M, Dabruck & Klein and more. Idriss Chebak gave us one bootleg he has done exclusively only for Beat My Day! Enjoy boyz and girlz!
