Outside of his affiliations with La Riots, Jon Peganto’s Hot Mouth moniker has continued to strike waves in the dotted Electro House. Handed the reins for Sebastien Drums latest vocal offering for Roger Sanchez’s Stealth Records, however, the LA native and longstanding stateside stomper gives the House orientated groover ‘French Rules’ a typically American facelift right in time for the impending summer festival season.
Still inherently led by a formative top line courtesy of soulful homeland peer Niles Mason, Peganto uses his Electro persuasion to craftily weave a subtle undertone of grinding floor-fuel into the more straight-laced original with maximal energy. Mixing up the more-predictable Electro sound scope with dotted lead play and inherently discordant interludes, Hot Mouth beckons a far stronger backbone to this otherwise traditionally European offering from Sanchez’s esteemed imprint.

From Didier Sinclair to Daft Punk, France have been out to take hold of European House from the outset. Rising from strength to strength and brushing shoulders with Avicii and Norman in the process, Sebastian Drums is a Frenchman truly on fire amid the hustle and bustle of Electronic Dance Music.
But given the chance to play with that fresh French fire, firm Stealth Records favourites Muzzaik are always first on hand to don their superior dance floor intellect to a worthy cause. Let loose on Sebastian’s original fusion of hard hitting Tribalesque Disco House alongside the vocal stylings of Atlanta’s Niles Mason (the voice behind David Guetta and Afrojack’s ‘Louder Than Words’) the Hungarian masters give ‘French Rules’ a lethal dose of the pacing bass and solid drops that the renowned imprint of Roger Sanchez has become synonymous with.

The track that was initially intended for a release through Erick Morillo’s Subliminal Records earlier this year has now come to light as an official representative of the record label of Roger Sanchez – Stealth Records. Following four hotshot collaborations with Avicii, this year’s Snus included, Sebastien Drums is no doubt one of the leading producers of France’s House music export. With belters like the hard-lined take on Faking Love and a funky remix for Let’s Get It On making partly up Drums’ output this year, the Frenchman returns to shed light on his preference of the classic sounds of French house in his upcoming release on Stealth as the title – French Rules – evidently enacts. Unfolding a vocal from the vocalist behind David Guetta and Afrojack’s Louder Than Words – Niles Mason – to hover atop the lead’s blistering grooves and disco-like vibes, French Rules is the next offering to help fuel the return of disco-house.
‘French Rules’ is set for release on January 17th via Stealth in a package along with a remix from the Budapest-based duo Muzzaik, the two who are well-known for their remix on A Little Louder. Apart from its notably techier structure, the remix has, alike the original, also got that groovy appeal that makes us wanna flash back on the times when bell-bottomed pants were a given and rounds the package off quite nicely.
Ever since dropping the acclaimed My Feelings For You alongside Avicii back in the beginning of 2010, Sebastien Drums has been one of the major exports within House music for France lately installing himself on Size Records and Spinnin Records among others. With his remix of Keep On Rising just out, the French shooting-star is now being topical with a new smashing single called French Rules, graced with the amazing voice of the American Niles Mason, famous for his work on Afrojack and David Guetta’s Louder Than Words. It follows in the footsteps of Drums’ fellow French legends within the French touch genre and is one high-class attempt to bring it back into the light of day yet again, have a listen!
WOW! I liked the original mix a lot but this bootleg is totally amazing! What a great bootleg from Digital Lab & Pedro Henriques. They have made a bootleg of David Guetta & Afrojack’s track called Louder Than Words. I hope this one will be released soon. The drop is very, very good!! ENJOY!
Check out my friend Andreas Peev new house blog called ”DiscoEdit”. 100 % legal!
Here is David Guetta & Afrojack’s new track ”Louder Than Words”. It has been released today at ”F*** Me Im Famous” on beatport! What do you think about it? I like the vocals from Niles Mason but I think it sounds much better in the WMC videos…
