Teaming up alongside familiar vocal asset Ron Carroll, Australia’s Goodwill makes a long overdue return to original releases with ‘You Used Me’. Cleansed in spiritual vibes that echo the heyday of emotionally charged club music, the original’s mixture of Carroll’s pitch-perfect top line, Balearic strings and vintage synths suggests resurgence from the moody vibes currently overriding the industry.

But first to bat for the remix package, Phazing-endorsed Nordean and Those Usual Suspects offer a strong, bouncy take on the Goodwill original, leaving room for Wax Motif to add gruff low-end riffage for a slightly heavier-set remix. Rounding out the release, Adam Trigger and David Hopperman are on hand with a growling, synth-led take for the by far hardest hitting remix of the package.

There is no denying the stronghold Australia’s Tommy Trash has continued to press into the industry. But furthering the allegation that he is out to shake things up for 2012, Thomas Olsen and fellow homeland peer Goodwill team up with familiar vocal asset Ron Carroll for a vintage-sounding ‘classic mix’ of their next endeavor entitled ‘You Need Me’. Cleansed in spiritual vibes that echo the heyday of emotionally charged club music, the mixture of Carroll’s pitch-perfect top line, Balearic strings and high-pitched, vintage synths suggests resurgence from the moody vibes currently overriding the industry.

Set for release soon along with a stack of remixes.

Update: Tommy Trash just hit us up to let us know that he’s not on this track despite what the Soundcloud title says.

Goodwill feat. Ron Carroll – You Used Me (Classic Mix)

Reminiscent of the firmly ascending style of Madeon and other eminent French house icons or not doesn’t really matter. When the heavenly complex fusion of the traditional and surpassing sounds of French house kicks in, this winning remix in the recent remix competition for Cr2 Records‘ glorious Don’t Be Afraid persuades you to gently let the aural cavities get harmonically ingested with the consistent yet fluctuating unison of sounds. The single which saw its debut as an indisputable part of Pete Tong’s Essential Selection on April 1st has become a championed gem in the book of Pete Tong and is yet today one of 2011’s most under-rated Summer anthems. With the ravishing voice of Ron Carroll and the graceful instrumentals on behalf of MYNC and Dan Castro of the original, Don’t Be Afraid returns after the emittances of remixes from Pierce Fulton and Mitomi Tokoto to deploy another triumphant remix, courtesy of Buenos Aires producer Charles Deluxe.

In an era where imitable efforts and endeavors seem to be a staple article, the effortless and genuine touch of the up-and-coming Argentine shows indications of a discerning dexterity as he peerlessly builds on the sustained riffs of the original for a full-blown remix.
