With a double dose of delinquent House gems for Defected Records already at their mercy, three proves the invariably lucky number for renowned Swiss duo Round Table Knights as they return to Simon Dunmore’s sacred House imprint for ‘On Fire’.
By far one of the most dexterous outfits currently doing the rounds, their melodically refined spectacle of deep House grooves and scattered key work is as contagious at is a refreshing escape from the peak time overhaul that has ensued throughout the year. In a bid to spiritually cleanse the floor with strong emotional value and essential rhythmic energy, ‘On Fire’ is as apt a title as ever for this blazing asset to the European House scene that are not afraid to pursue the genres’ more artistic hallmarks.
Having garnered some rather serious support for their two previous comings to Defected, Swiss duo Round Table Knights return to the infamous record imprint of Simon Dunmore with their first original release on the label in tow. Cleansed in spiritual vibes that echo the heyday of emotionally charged club music, their deep and minimalistic approach make for strong digression from the increasingly popular peak time bangers that have proven a global currency for Dance Music. With old school stamina and a set of more traditional production values, their signature bass lines and cacophonous vocals that make up ‘On Fire’ join Defected in their successful attempts to enrich the Ibiza season of 2012 with a strong output of soulful club cuts.
Set to be released on August 6.

Having made a name for themselves with their original releases in 2010, not to mention their rather essential remix of Tensnake’s ‘Coma Cat’ for Defected, Round Table Knights can these days be found amid the creme de la creme of Switzerland’s Electronic Dance music export. As featured on Toolroom’s compilation for Miami 2012, if their recently released first mark in 2012 would be an indication of anything, it would be that 2012 is looking to be the year this Swiss duo reclaims their spot on the forefront. As if they ever lost it.
For their remix of one of the singles off Tyson’s debut artist album then, Round Table Knights’ sense for innovative productions continues to flaunt. Building on ‘Die On The Dancefloor’s old school-oriented top line, the duo add an array of infectious baselines and a far more soulful appeal, even though the original itself is nowhere near soulless, for something of an epic contender for this year’s Ibiza season.
