Where anonymous Texan Electro head Mr Wonk has already proven a promising speck on the map courtesy of remixes for the likes of Deadmau5, his debut collaborative single alongside Cologne’s Sharam Jey would always prove a crucial card for the promising producer. But having already remixed the master of Kong Kling Records, their collaborative debut excels in energy while lacking in originality.

With subtle undertones of earlier Mord Fustang seeping through ‘Neon’, its crunchy backbone solid lead play still make for an impressive collection of studio talents. As much as the sense of familiarity pervades throughout, the tracks solid production values and intense energy cannot be argued with and this American/European ensemble certainly impress with this first joint instalment.

Well-reputed from taking part in the glorious collaborations with Avicii, My Feelings For You and Snus, Sebastien Drums teams up with Rob Adans for an enacting of the old-school House grooves. Not only is the owner of Work Machine topical with a forthcoming instalment on Erick Morillo’s Subliminal Records but also Party Now alongside Richard Grey. As Adans is cutting deep into the scene with the Abash single on the rise, the two Frenchmen follows up on their remix for Faking Love with a catchy remix on Let’s Get It On, originally made by Sharam Jey and Soundz Fresh. Graced with crisp piano tones and a looped vocal, this Work Records instalment has already floored the venue of Café Mambo in Ibiza on numerous occasions and more is surely yet to come.
