Originally released in late 2000 as part of Fatboy Slim’s third studio album, entitled Halfway Between The Gutter and The Stars, Ya Mama (Push The Tempo) harks back to civilization and Skint Records a bare decade after its initial release for a Moguai take to venture clubland. The Brit who’s been a consistently rising icon since the 90’s is primarily responsible for his limitless scope when it comes to delivering top notch classics like Right Here Right Now, Praise You, Rockafeller Skank and Funk Soul Brother. Irrupting early in the 21st century into an irrefutable prominence as a legend within electronic dance music and its revolutionary evolution, one of Fatboy Slim’s early-day original’s is re-worked by the distinguished German into a refined, Pete Tong-supported club cut. Hot off recent times triumphs such as We Want Your Soul on Size, the remix on Zaman and the two brilliant Mau5trap singles, Optinuum and Beat Of The Drum, Moguai weaves the core elements of the original together with fresher sounds of electro and acid.
A defined tech production by Moguai in a collaboration with Westbam called Original Hardcore. Inspired by the old school, Jazz influence is the main weapon in this Skint Records-instalment. It comes in a package along with two edits made by the original producers as well as two remixes by Bass Kleph and Sonny Wharton, go grab yourself a copy of this one people!
Sonny Wharton takes on Moguai, remixing a brand new production of his called Original Hardcore, which he made together with Westbam and is set to be released on January 31st through Skint Records, stay tuned!
The German Moguai unleashes his futuristic-sounding track Get Fresh through Skint Records. The release features three distinct remixes made by Run Riot, X-Press 2 and Dohr & Mangold as well, so don’t miss out!
The German Moguai shows off a bit different sound of his in this track called Get Fresh, due to be released on November 29th through Skint Records featuring three equal remixes. The original is therefor the one to fall into taste, have a listen and judge for yourselves!
Skint Records presents a massive remix package of X-Press 2’s brilliant originals The Blast and Opulence! An impressive list of remixers is presented in Darren Emerson, Tom De Neef, Sonny Wharton and Deepgroove, whereof De Neef’s and Wharton’s versions are chosen as my favourites of the featured remixes in this release. Go grab a copy now!
