Back from a spree of funk-induced originals, Solidisco continue their studio output of feel-good vibes to take on remix duties for renowned Icona Pop single ‘I Love It’.

Diving into a canvas of misshapen 80’s disco grooves and warm synthesisers, Solidisco encompass the grooves of a misshapen 80’s disco, providing what could well be acclaimed as a truly original instalment of House music since it’s over-complimented heyday. Propping up proceedings with skanking chords and infectious vocal samples, their latest remix marks a catchy yet charismatic outing for one of disco house’s more interesting new school outfits.

In the wake of taking Dan Hartman’s 1979 single ‘Relight My Fire’ through the motions of strong filtered beats and deep bass for ‘Dream Of You‘, Buffalo duo Solidisco continues the trend of turning classics into House gems with a 21st century twist as they take on George Benson’s ‘Turn Your Love Around’ for ‘Turn Around’.

With unpretentious stamina and their funky persona at hand, ‘Turn Around’ sees Solidisco headline the first free release of 17:44’s newly launched nu-disco sublabel French Toast. Rather than dispersing the ‘82 original’s untimely vibes with wobbles and dodgy sampling, their take on ‘Turn Your Love Around’ is straight-up House music at its finer, embracing its natural energy with the utmost respect.

Out October 29th.

At the heart of every genre lies a crate of unforgettable classics to which the world always seems to circle back towards. Dan Hartman’s ‘Relight My Fire’ can certainly be considered one of them. But on hand to put a funky 21st century twist on the Hartman original, American duo Solidisco are joined by Bartouze, better known as Bartosz Brenes, for a new single of theirs titled ‘Dream Of You’.

Embracing the 1979 original’s untimely vibes and natural disco energy, ‘Dream Of You’ sees the cross-nation trio make ‘Relight My Fire’ justice with a sturdy injection of solid beat work, ardent grooves and blistering synth play with a vintage undertone.
