Renowned for his quality-over-quantity approach, it should come as no surprise that Mark Knight’s first release of 2013 is one of House music at it’s finest. Taking on remix duties for Submotion Orchestra’s latest single, the Toolroom head honcho turns the Leeds band’s dubstep original into a heartwarming and beautifully orchestrated House gem. Utilizing Ruby Wood’s brittle voice with elegant melodic swirls and dark and bouncy beat work, Knight’s remix of ‘Thinking’ makes the eager anticipation for his third Bullets EP all that more bearable.

Mark Knight’s Toolroom Records continue their output of quality House music with a bouncy, new original release from long-serving Spaniard ATFC and Italian duo The Cube Guys. Reeling in the exotic poolside appeal that Toolroom have become all-too adept in providing amid their global romps, ‘Work’ gets funky with a chugging groove alongside the occasional vocal chant. A solid contender for this year’s Miami Music Week, ‘Work’ fails to disappoint and is a reassuring indicator that these European House veterans are still at large for 2013.

Nicky Romero teams up alongside countrymen Nilson and John Christian to make their collective debut on Mark Knight’s Toolroom Records with a modern adaption of a 2006 classic.

A staple in the live sets of Fedde Le Grand over the past several months, ‘Still The Same Man’ sees the Dutch trio digress from the heavier-set domains of Dance music to take Till West and DJ Delicious’ ‘Same Man’ through the motions of crunching House builds for a strong first release on the label.

Where ‘Doster‘ saw him welcome 2012 with drum-heavy Electro House that touched on the rich Progressive vibes that he has become synonymous with, Dannic’s inaugural release of 2013 sees him go in a similar vein for ‘Clobber’.

First officially premiered in Hardwell’s Essential Mix late last year, Daan Romers makes his Toolroom Records debut with what is intended to be the follow-up to ‘Tombo‘. Jumping between blistering lead play and potent drum work, Dannic would struggle to find a more promising first release on the record label of Mark Knight.
