In the wake of the acclaimed original release, Chuckie and Junxterjack’s ‘Make Some Noise’ receives a hard-hitting slew of remixes from across the dance music spectrum.

While Laidback Luke’s dark and grinding sound leads to a positive leading remix from the unfathomable Dutch club icon, eclectic Italian producer Crookers joins the remix pack with a strong, screeching take. Dealing in a festival-friendly Dutch House sound, Deorro offers a bleep-happy yet unpretentious take on the Chuckie and Junxterjack original, leaving room for a trap take from Glowinthedark & Wax Motif and Mastiksoul to mix things up with a drum-heavy remix.

Still hot on the heels from mixing volume 9 of Strictly Rhythm’s self-entitled compilation series alongside Neoteric, Sydney-based Wax Motif joins forces with homeland singer Madame Buttons for a new original release in ”Never Fall Again”.

Approved and lapped up by Laidback Luke for a release on his Mixmash Records imprint, ‘Never Fall Again’ drives deep into the mechanical realms of modern club mastery. Laced with grinding chords and an array of pitch-pervading lead work, the track matches robustly charged Electro with the radio-friendly vocal stylings of the Melbourne singer.

Teaming up alongside familiar vocal asset Ron Carroll, Australia’s Goodwill makes a long overdue return to original releases with ‘You Used Me’. Cleansed in spiritual vibes that echo the heyday of emotionally charged club music, the original’s mixture of Carroll’s pitch-perfect top line, Balearic strings and vintage synths suggests resurgence from the moody vibes currently overriding the industry.

But first to bat for the remix package, Phazing-endorsed Nordean and Those Usual Suspects offer a strong, bouncy take on the Goodwill original, leaving room for Wax Motif to add gruff low-end riffage for a slightly heavier-set remix. Rounding out the release, Adam Trigger and David Hopperman are on hand with a growling, synth-led take for the by far hardest hitting remix of the package.

With a wealth of positivity surrounding the Dance music industry’s universal union, Sydney’s Wax Motif and Vancouver’s Neoteric unite to mix and compile volume nine of the Strictly Rhythms compilation series. Calling upon House music producers from across the spectrum, the compilation features a total of 27 remixes and edits of a host of grassroots House classics and more recent Strictly Rhythm releases alike. Rife with the tantalising grooves and vintage synth work that have been all too absent throughout 2012, Strictly Rhythms 9 is a worthy extension of the original Balearic House vibes that swept the world off its feet so many years ago and poses as a confident step backwards to remember where the magic found its feet.

Taking on remix duties for Todd Terry All Stars’ ‘Get Down’, Australia’s Wax Motif reunites with Vancouver producer Neoteric to unveil their second and final contribution to the upcoming ninth volume of Strictly Rhythm’s compilation series, mixed and compiled by the duo themselves.

Armed with low-end riffage eerily similar to Fedde Le Grand’s ‘So Much Love’ and utilising Tara McDonald’s vocal stylings with a string of vintage synths, the duo’s firm rhythmic progressions are met with subtle melodic stamina and hits the nail on the head where stern Balearic grooves are concerned.

Hot on the heels from official remix duties for Usher, Sydney-based Wax Motif’s unorthodox and forward-thinking studio wizardry receives a significant seal of approval from the DJ’s DJ, A-Trak. Approved and lapped up by the Canadian tastemaker for a free release on his Fool’s Gold Records imprint, Sydney-based Motif’s first installment on the label sees him take a spot on the second volume of their monthly series of free compilations with ‘Ctrl-66′. But with so much talk about selling out and button-pushing, Motif keeps things reassuringly fresh and blends vintage leads with a growling low-end to raise the standards further ahead of the long overdue release of ‘Astra’.
